- We are the largest specialist provider of domiciliary care in the UK, and we work
with around 70% of UK Local Authorities.
- We provide approximately 380,000 hours of care per week.
- Our focus is on care in the individual’s home, with companies including
Goldsborough Home Care, Medico Homecare, and specialist Learning Disability businesses
including New Horizons as well as several other subsidiary companies.
- Our areas of specialism include care of the elderly, people with learning disabilities,
people with mental health needs, people with physical disabilities and sensory impairments,
and children and families services.
- We have a large UK-wide branch network, which means we have at least one branch
in or near most Local Authority areas.
- Our Care Workers are our most important assets. We recruit and retain the best
staff in the business, and ensure they are supported throughout their time with
the company. They have a passion for caring, and carry through the company’s ethos
to ensure that our clients have dignity, choice and independence and are respected
as an individual at all times.
- All staff undergo CRB checks, receive a full and rigorous induction, and their
training is updated annually. Training and development is a key element for all
our Care Workers and office staff.
- The branch network is fully supported by our central office in Hertfordshire,
with specialist teams including Finance, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Marketing, IT,
Human Resources and Property, as well as a field-based training team.
- Our branch Quality ratings, both internal and external, are excellent.
- Customer satisfaction levels are very high – in 2009, an average of 96% indicated
that they were very satisfied or satisfied with the quality of care received.
